After a long consideration I started an online magazine, called BALK, which focusing on ten Balkan countries. I identified Balkan as a geological not a political topic, for this I used the definition, what I found on Wikipedia.
Balkan is not a political, but a geological topic, as I consider.
Therefore, BALK focuses on Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia-Hercegovina, Montenegro, Serbia, Kosovo, Albania, Macedonia, Greece and Bulgaria.
BALK is an online magazine which is not willing to compete with other news portals. The magazine deals with economic, cultural and other cases, other than political topics, but not as yellow journalism.
BALK doesn’t favour any country, doesn’t root for any political party or doesn’t prioritize any folk. As I consider, with an unstable Balkan there is no stable Europe, this is the reason why BALK is aiming to speak out openly about those cases what others hide behind political cliches.
I’m Szilveszter Varga, I started my carrier as a journalist at the Novi Sad Radio. I worked for BBC’s hungarian broadcast as a reporter from Novi Sad and the Hungarian Radio as a reporter from Belgrade. Until the 2000s I worked for the Hungarian Radio Station, and for BETA News Agency as a reporter from Budapest. From 2003 to 2018 I worked for the HírTV.
Currently I’m working for one of the biggest insurance company, Aegon Premium, but I haven’t stopped to write articles as a journalist, I have started BALK in May this year.
During BALK’s short history I cooperated with the economical website, Privátbankár and also BETA News Agency in Belgrade. I’m still opened for cooperation with anybody, who is also agrees – or stays open minded – on the values what BALK represents.
With this in mind I’m inviting you for a personal meeting, so BALK and we can provide trustworthy and accurate information for our readers.
Until then I recommend you to scroll through our website, https://balk.hu/!
